So this week I went to my first NBA game and it was game 4 of the Western Conference Finals: Nuggets vs Lakers. It was an amazing game and I got to see my Nuggets make it to their first finals and their first sweep in franchise history.
Now every game I go to I have to bring some “snacks” to get me through the game and to make it better. So during the game I brought in a few edibles to enhance the game, one being the Hasher Snacks Honey Roasted Chipotle Peanuts. Let’s dive into our first edible review.
Now I want to start off with a note saying that my edible tolerance is insane and different than a lot of people. Most people consume 5-10mg to last a few hours. If on the high end of tolerance people will be 25-50. Then there are people with a hyper CPYC2C9 enzyme which breaks it down to almost nothing when it enters your system. So I have to start at 500mg to just barely feel it and a $6 joint will get me higher than 3 packs of edibles.
However I do know other peoples tolerance and how they would affect someone else. We have sold the Real Deal Edibles before at Cannabist and they use Rosin so I know they have a strong punch so be careful if you have a low tolerance to edibles. In the whole package there is 100mg of rosin infused nuts. This can make it a little harder to dose but can also let you snack on more than just one piece. I really like that especially for savory edibles.
The packaging was awesome. It reminded me of an old cracker jack box. This gave me a nostalgic feeling. Made it perfect for a basketball game! I also love the the savory peanuts idea. However the taste definitely needs a lot of improvement. I think the honey roasted part was good. Felt and looked just like any roasted nut you can find which is nice because it’s relatable. Where I think they need some work or more R&D on the chipotle. It was a weird hot flavor coming off my mouth. I like spice and love chipotle sauce but this just felt different. I don’t know how to describe it but it wasn’t a flavorful spice and wasn’t a hot cheetos spice, just a weird almost unnatural feel coming from my mouth. The honey roasted helped balance it. I think if they switch to adding dried seasoning or coating before they bake might help this out. I also think they should create a line if they master it. Have these as different flavors, not all in one.

Overall I like the idea and look of this edible more than the execution. I think with just a little more Research and Development and working on the product will do wonders for this product. I unfortunately have to give this edible a 2.8 flames out of 5, however with my first incomplete on it. I would love to try this product down the road with a few improvements.
I think they have the right idea, love the creativity and nostalgic factor, I just think the product needs some minor tweaking to improve the product and grade tremendously!
