MedLeaf Delivery is the first ever Medical and Recreational Cannabis Delivery Service licensed in Oceanside, CA. As the first legal cannabis company in Oceanside, we are committed to setting an example for the cannabis community and upholding high standards to break the stigma associated with cannabis.

We are looking for compassionate and experienced delivery drivers. Your focus will be on maximizing efficiency and making sure patients are happy from start to finish throughout their ordering process. You will be working with dispatch to ensure patient satisfaction and smooth operations.

It is important that your interest in the cannabis industry aligns with the medicinal aspects of cannabis as plant medicine and its community of patients. Prior experience in the cannabis industry is preferred. YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 25 TO APPLY FOR THIS POSITION. This is not a remote position – cannabis is considered an essential business. OCEANSIDE, CA. Must be willing and able to pass a LIVE SCAN criminal history background check through OCEANSIDE POLICE DEPARTMENT.

Ideal Candidate:

• Logistics is your jam (must have understanding of North County roads, freeways, and peak traffic times)
• Responsible
• Honest and transparent
• Personal and public safety and security top of mind
• Familiar with GPS navigation (Waze, Google Maps, Etc.)
• Comfortable with security demands of the position; going to patients homes
• Clean driving history and valid drivers license (REQUIRED)
• Enjoys maximizing efficiency in all aspects of performance (esp. with COVID it’s important to keep delivery time minimal)
• Experience with Cannabis POS System
• Experience with delivery GPS routing software
• Cash handling experience
• Strong customer service skills
• Team player – collaboration is key (even though you will be solo delivering product, our team will work as a well oiled machine to keep patients top of mind and keep communication open)
• A solid understanding of cannabis products and the cannabis industry – plant knowledge (i.e. strains, terpenes, etc.), CA cannabis laws and regulations, cannabis as plant medicine (ailments and uses, patient stories, etc.)
• Experience working in a startup or new business environment
• Passionate about working against the stigmas associated with the cannabis industry
• Genuinely eager to HELP our community of medical cannabis patients
• Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Verify patient’s eligibility to receive orders
• Ask for feedback on provided services and resolve client’s complaints
• May be called on to manage inbound phone inquiries and routes calls accordingly
• Maintain delivery schedule based on incoming orders from dispatch
• Use POS system to process orders, make notes, and process payment
• Load, transport, and deliver cannabis orders in a safe and timely manner
• Provide troubleshooting and support to dispatch and patients as needed
• Assist with loading and unloading product from warehouse inventory to vehicle
• Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate the delivery vehicle; performing regular vehicle checks before and after each day’s run
• Maintain an organized records using our POS system of transactions and inventory
• Contribute towards a desirable cannabis workplace culture
• Submit end of shift reports and inventory reports
• Cash handling, card processing, and daily cash drops at end of shift
• Routinely research businesses, events. charities, and sponsorship opportunities to become involved in
• Conduct outreach to prospective brands aligned with company mission
• Willingness to jump between tasks and assist in different departments

Position Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a delivery driver role
• POSITIVE ATTITUDE REQUIRED *
• Minimum 25 Years of Age
• CLEAN DRIVING RECORD & BACKGROUND

• Knowledge of CA cannabis law and regulations specific to delivery services is a plus
