Updates to Track and Trace transfer functionality
Starting on January 2, 2024, licensees will be required to review and approve or deny transfers to their facility prior to creation of the shipping manifest. Transport and destination pre-approvals will assist with creating accurate manifests and allow licensees to deny unscheduled or inaccurate transfers.

In January 2018, the California Cannabis Track-and-Trace (CCTT) system was launched using METRC software. CCTT uses unique identifiers (UIDs) for reporting the movement of cannabis and cannabis products through the licensed commercial cannabis distribution chain.
