Wellgreens Opens Encinitas Storefront
Wellgreens has acquired the 211 N El Camino Real cannabis retail license in the city of Encinitas, Wellgreens chairman Sam Hallak said in a statement Tuesday.
Located at 211 N El Camino Real, Wellgreens Encinitas is 1 of 4 awarded licenses, and the only license east of I-5.
Hallak said his company is bullish on Encinitas because “the ability to provide Cannabis to not only this beautiful community but all the cities that surround it. Being in a limited market (4 stores) creates unlimited opportunities for the retailers.”
Wellgreens currently operates in Vista, La Mesa, Lemon Grove and Chula Vista, and has announced 3 new storefronts in the coming months. Those locations will open in City Heights, on Jackson Drive in La Mesa, and on Balboa in San Diego’s Kearny Mesa neighborhood. All told, Wellgreens will operate 9 locations in San Diego County.
