San Diego Dispensaries Ranked: Best Selection November 2025

Acquisitions and new openings affect rankings

If you’re a regular visitor to our ranking pages you’ll be familiar with the Top 2 positions occupied by Off The Charts in Vista and Encinitas. However, after the first 2 slots you see new contenders for the Best Selection title.

After a year of ownership changes and new openings, formerly lower tier dispensaries now are rising through the ranks: Golden State Greens, long a bottom dweller in all categories, now sits at #15.

March and Ash’s rebrand of its stores on H Street in Chula Vista and on Fairmont in City Heights pushed the City Heights location all the way to #3.

Changes in Dispensary Storefronts

Retail Update: Perfect Union opened in late September, March & Ash rebranded two locations (Chula Vista H Street and San Diego Fairmont Dr) to Puff-N-Dash, The Cake House acquired Golden State Greens, and STIIIZY acquired both Cannabis 21+ locations. The latter was reported after this report was compiled.

Earlier in the year Wellgreens acquired THCSD and Cannabist, Off the Charts took on Body and Mind while Off The Charts now owns Mankind. Element 7 in Chula Vista closed in August, the first to close since Speedy Weedy in Vista in 2023.

Lastly, National City rolled out its marketplace in April and now has 3 dispensaries open (Sessions By The Bay, Off The Charts and Buzz) while Stiiizy will open soon on Hoover Ave.

Troubling Signs

While marketplace now has about 31% more products than a year’s end, several shops are not a part of that growth.

Since San Diego Cannabis Times began researching and ranking SKU levels over 2 years ago, some shops are showing troubling trends, while others appear to be better stocked than ever before.

Here are the 6 retailers with over 20% declines in SKU’s since January 2025
