SAN DIEGO- From Vista to San Ysidro, San Diego county dispensaries are in full holiday giving mode. Dozens of licensed cannabis retailers have planned toy or canned food drives, with many offering incentives for customers to participate.
One area retailer got the jump on things, with Wellgreens sponsoring the Annual Christmas Gift Packaging Event held on December 3, 2023, in San Diego.
Volunteers gathered in a festive atmosphere to package 8,000 gifts, ensuring that every child feels the joy of the season.
“Wellgreens is more than just a business in San Diego; we are part of the fabric of this community. Supporting the Annual Christmas Gift Packaging Event is our way of showing gratitude and care to the region that has given us so much,” said Sam Hallak, CEO of Wellgreens. “We are deeply honored to help bring smiles to families’ faces during the holiday season.”
All Wellgreens locations are also hosting a toy drive.

The Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank and its North County Food Bank chapter comprise the largest hunger-relief organization in San Diego County. Last year, they distributed over 44 million pounds of food.
