Welcome back to another product review. This week I got to try The Herbalizer!
The Herbalizer is a San Diego company boasting a desktop device capable of three delivery methods: A tube whip, a volcano type bag, and and as a small room ”freshener”.
Using the Herbalizer is incredibly straightforward.
The screen is clear and makes adjusting the temperature easy, which is a plus for finding that ideal heat. I found that vaping at around 330-390°F hit the sweet spot. This temperature range lets the flavors of the flower shine through, while still packing a punch.
Using Team Elite Genetics Dump Truck as a test strain, it really was stunning how tasty and cool the smoke was. Dump Truck’s dominant terpene is β-Myrcene, which is best heated at 332 F. Other terpenes have similar heating levels, but they differ. See chart below.
The Herbalizer heated in about 15 seconds.
While vapor produced at this level isn’t exactly billowing in clouds, the flavors were something incredibly special. If you dig seeing the results of a big pull, just increase the temperature to around 390 F. The flavor will suffer some, but you will notice more vapor on the exhale.
Ideal Terpene Temperatures*:
Myrcene 332 F
Pinene 311 F
Linalool 388 F
Limonene 350 F
β-Caryophyllene 246 F
Humulene 257 F
Herbalizer with padded travel box
(2) Vape Bags
Inspirator Whip
Bowl unit
Replacement screens
Cleaning brush
One of my favorite features of the Herbalizer is its versatility: you can use it with a whip (included) for a hookah-style experience or a volcano bag, or just open up the billow to fill a small room.
The hose option is particularly convenient for sharing; it even has a fan that releases the vapor without needing to put your lips on the hose, which is great for social sessions. The bag method, meanwhile, delivers a heavier hit but both methods provide smooth, enjoyable draws.
Overall, I’d rate the Herbalizer a solid 4.3 out of 5 flames. It’s a great option for those who want a smooth vaping experience, especially if you’re prone to coughing or need to be gentle on your throat and lungs.
