This was my first time trying Jungle Boys flower, so I went in with zero expectations.
One thing I’ve learned about cannabis, just like anything else, is that you can’t always judge a book by its cover. The packaging here is bright and bold, the kind that usually makes me think, uh oh, this is going to taste like straight-up candy.
To my surprise, it didn’t at all. The strains were smooth, flavorful, and honestly some of the most enjoyable I’ve had.
I’d easily rank them near the top of the house strains I’ve tried so far.
On to the two Jungle Boys stains I tried: Wedding Cake and Zudz.
The Numbers
THC: 26.66%
Total Cannabinoids: 26.99%
CBD:.08%
Package Date: 6/30/2025
Appearance: These nugs were more airy than the Zudz but still dense. The color was almost the exact opposite tho. Bright key lime green just coated in trichomes give the nug an almost white look to them. There are very few dark forest green leaves around, maybe 5-10 that just keep it looking completely white. There are small patches of red pistols however even these are a very light ember color.
Aroma: The aroma is a sweet berry smell. I like it because it’s not artificial or overly sweet. Still stays true to the bud but definitely letting your nose know this will be a tastier experience. Smell wise I think more of the population would love this smell/ strain better.
Smoke: At first I got a spicy earthy taste, that punches you but then sweetens up quickly after that and turns to a more lingering vanilla taste to it. I think it has a good balance to it. Not going to be everyones favorite taste but i dont think one anyone would dislike it.
Effects: This one was calming but still able to function and do a bunch. I think this would be great in small social settings like a game night or comedy show. Puts you in a happier mood, but relaxed and able to enjoy the moment.
Final Verdict: I think Wedding cake is a great strain for a lot of people. No one has wowed me with wedding cake but very few people can do it bad either. I think Jungle Boys did a great job on it! I think even though I preferred the Zudz I think the general public would love the wedding cake more and would probably be most people’s top choice for strains of the house brands I have reviewed.
The Numbers
THC: 29.81%
Total Cannabinoids: 30.10%
CBD: .09%
Package Date: 6/24/2025
Appearance: Dense nugs, and so many characterizations. Dark/midnight Purple all over with just spots of dark green leaves slightly poking out. Patches of long red pistols, and a trichome coating making it sparkle. Almost looks like a mountain on a blizzard night, lights from the cabins highlighting the nug.
Aroma: When I first cracked open the jar you get a slight floral sweetness then over powered by a generic soap smell with just the slightest blueberry scent. Honestly smells like a good soap that’s not over powering for anyone. I know it sounds weird but smells more like a boar soap than a liquid soap kind of smell
Smoke: I dont think everyone would like the taste but its definitely one I enjoyed. It has a hint of sweet berry taste but highly over powered by a funkier gassier taste, kind of like skunk bud back in the day. Just more with a mix of the newer sweeter buds.
Effects: This was great for just a chill night. Winding down, I want to put on a good movie and relax. Honestly my Cali readers might not understand but anyone from other states. This is an awesome strain to sit on the porch and listen to a summer thunderstorm!
Final Verdict: Out of the two, I really enjoyed the Zudz more. The more gassier and soap taste was different and fit my taste buds better plus slightly heavier of a high!
Overall I think Jungle boys has some fantastic house brand flower. I think these and lights out have been the best I have tried. I wouldnt quite place either in the top shelf category but just slightly below. Really good and higher mid-grade tier.
I think if you like slightly more punch I would go Lights out, however if you like more taste, smell , and appearance I think Jungle Boys is more the choice. If side by side I would go with the better deal. Great job to both of these house brand flower strains.
