“Roll Up for Equity” is a short film exposing San Diego’s struggle for social equity within its regulated cannabis industry, highlighting passionate local advocates pushing for accountability and change in America’s Finest City.

Director JM Balbuena, commented on the film’s inclusion in the Best Short Documentary at the San Diego Film Awards: “Being nominated is an incredible honor particularly for the entire community of advocates fighting for social equity in the city. The San Diego Film Awards will be held live at Parq Nightclub on June 29 and is
presented by The Film Consortium San Diego and will be broadcast by KPBS on June 29 at 5:00 PM.
