When the hottest brands, biggest retailers and most influential thought leaders in the California Cannabis industry gather this March for Hall of Flowers Ventura, that unparalleled convergence of talent and passion will include leading social equity brands from across the state.
Since 2020, Hall of Flowers has offered financial and administrative support to minority-owned businesses and legacy growers entering the legal market. This year, we’re partnering with the Equity Trade Network, Embarc and Treez to implement our largest ever footprint for equity businesses.
The Equity Trade Network is a California non-profit with a mission to “uplift and bring awareness to business operators and brands from communities marginalized by America’s failed War on Drugs.”
Co-founders Ramon Garcia and Nina Parks sees the organization’s alliance with Hall of Flowers as a key way to showcase the best flower, concentrates, edibles and topicals from equity brands that meet their Equity Trade Certification, which helps retailers and consumers identify brands and businesses owned and operated by Black, Brown, Indigenous, LGBTQ, Veteran or system-impacted people..
“Hall of Flowers is the biggest B2B showcase in California, where industry taste makers scout out new offerings for Cannabis lovers across the state,” Garcia says. “Equity Trade Network has the most diverse membership and products across all categories, so with us, you’ll find something to suit every consumer.
Underwriting this effort is Embarc, one of the state’s top retailers, with twelve locations, including Ventura’s first dispensary, conveniently located five-minutes from the Ventura County Fairgrounds—home to Hall of Flowers. Embarc has nearly a dozen more openings on the horizon.
“As long-time supporters of both the Equity Trade Network and Hall of flowers, we’re proud help bring this iconic industry event to Ventura,” says Embarc CEO Lauren Carpenter. “This collaboration is a testament to the synergy of community and culture within California’s cannabis landscape.”
Treez is California’s leading POS provider for Cannabis retailers, including all 12 Embarc locations.
“Treez is committed to powering the industry’s growth in our home state and beyond,” says Treez CEO and co-founder John Yang. “We believe a thriving cannabis industry must be built by people from all backgrounds and walks of life. This partnership underscores our commitment to the California cannabis community, including brands, retailers, and consumers.”
